Grants for AI training for companies

You don't have to pay for your team's AI training entirely out of your own pocket. There are grant programmes that cover a substantial part of the cost of training employees in artificial intelligence. I will help you find your way through the options and deliver the training so that it meets the grant conditions — Prague and Central Bohemia.

Main programmes (updated October 2026)

Vzdělávání pro firmy (Úřad práce ČR — Czech Labour Office)

The successor to the discontinued DIGI pro firmu programme — the call has been open since 1 July 2026, and applications are accepted on a rolling basis until 31 August 2028, exclusively through the Vzdělávání pro firmy application. Contribution: CZK 260.73 per person-hour of the course + CZK 217.46 wage contribution (CZK 478.19 per person per hour in total); capped at 80 person-hours per employee under 50 (approx. CZK 38,000) and 100 person-hours for employees aged 50 and over (approx. CZK 48,000). De minimis aid (EU small-aid rules), paid retrospectively once the training is completed. The budget is drawn down continuously — the sooner a company applies, the safer the approval.

OPZ+ (Operační program Zaměstnanost plus — EU-funded Czech programme)

Funds training for employees of Czech companies. The Podnikové vzdělávání call (company training, CZK 700 million for 2026–2027) no longer accepts new applications — but if your company was successful, you are delivering the training right now, and AI skills can be included in it.

DIGIkurzy — contribution for individuals and the self-employed (“Jsem v kurzu”)

A new round funded from OPZ+ (up to CZK 2 billion in total, running until the end of 2028): a contribution of up to CZK 35,000 per person with a co-payment of at least 23.27% (selected low-income groups can get full coverage). Since July 2026, training providers have been adding courses to the database; as of October 2026, applications from individuals had not yet opened — MPSV (the Czech Ministry of Labour and Social Affairs) is announcing them for the second half of 2026.

Through associations and chambers (“Společně za vzděláváním”)

If you are a member of a professional association or a chamber of commerce, your association can fund training for your employees from the OPZ+ call Společně za vzděláváním (Together for Education) — ask your chamber about open places in its training projects.

Note: the DIGI pro firmu programme ended in November 2025 — offers that still use it as an argument are working with outdated information. I always check the specific options as of the date of your enquiry.
